Accessibility
Our standards for accessibility and how to meet them.
Camden’s digital services must be accessible to everyone. This is a legal requirement for all public bodies in the UK.
Owners of websites managed or largely funded by Camden must follow these steps.
- Understand what type of testing your service needs
- Complete automated and manual accessibility testing
- Make a plan to fix any accessibility issues
- Create and maintain a compliant accessibility statement
- Publish your statement and link it from every page on your website, ideally in the footer
Complete this process before launching any new digital service.
Services should review accessibility statements at least once a year and retest whenever there is a significant update. For example, a new version, feature, or change to code and visual design.
